Unconditional Love

Many of us grew up in homes where as children we longed to be loved...just for who we were. Sound familiar?

Growing up in a dysfunctional homelife, where love was not often felt, I have always tried to make sure my own children know, NO MATTER WHAT they have done, that they are loved! I believe so many children and teens today are just wanting someone to care about them, for who they are, NOT for what they did, or didn't do.

A wonderful example of this unconditional love, is the Agape' love that God extends to all mankind. We have done NOTHING to deserve this love. But God loves us anyway! What an amazing love! If we as parents could love our children and each other in this way, how much more our lives would be blessed.

I understand, this is not always easy to do, for many of us are not so easy to love. But stepping past the road block, whatever it may be, and loving that child anyway, will help to bring peace, and build a bond that will last forever. Perfect love cast out fear. 1 John 4:18
